Samantha is a rising senior and Computer Science major at Wellesley College. Her summer has been spent at Square as a software engineering intern for the invoices team. She's passionate about full stack web development, mentorship, tech culture's impact on those outside its circle, reproductive justice, and coffee. Time she doesn't spend hacking on school work or personal projects is spent at hackathons, ordering Domino's, and making latte art at Starbucks. Find her on most platforms as @mantaleigh.
Rani is currently a student at UC Berkeley studying Computer Science and Business Administration. Raised in the Silicon Valley, Rani has learned to love the Bay Area and the abundance of innovation. As an Enablement Tools Intern, Rani is focused on providing data and research that serves as an asset to business teams. Prior to Square, Rani worked at a tech incubator as well as founded a non-profit in 2014. In her free time, she enjoys running, playing with her dog, and baking. Lastly, she is a firm believer that anything can be achieved with hard work.

This is her first time speaking in public about mental health stigmas and she couldn't be more excited. Megan loves all things tech and especially those with a warm fuzzy spot for helping women succeed in STEM. When she's not coding, Megan can be found reading books on her Kindle, exploring the Bay area via her longboard, and eating chocolate (although not usually all at the same time). At Square, we have a strong, supportive, and empowering community of women engineers and allies. We come together as a group: WomEng. Our group has grown from a mailing list to regular, in-person gatherings expanding outside of Square to include a large network of women engineers.
We've open-sourced our handbook, which includes details on how to host Hear + Now in your own community.
If you would like to stay in touch with us, you can join our mailing list. We only post event invitations and call for speakers.
We love hosting joint events with other WomEng groups. Reach out to Marie Chatfield (marie@squareup.com) if you'd like to organize a group lunch, coffee meetup, or happy hour with us!
